Participation in our organization, events, or online community does not create any partnership, joint venture, agency, or fiduciary relationship between members or with the organization.

We are not responsible for the actions, services, advice, or representations made by any member, sponsor, or third party connected to this organization. Members are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into business relationships.

Membership & Member Directory Disclaimer

The FAB member directory is provided solely to facilitate professional networking within the community.

Inclusion in the directory does not constitute endorsement, certification, verification, or guarantee of any member’s qualifications, services, or business practices. Members are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and for maintaining any licenses, insurance, and legal compliance required for their profession.

By choosing to be listed, members consent to the display of the information and images they voluntarily submit.

Directory content is intended strictly for networking purposes. The use, reproduction, downloading, screenshotting, copying, distribution, modification, scraping, or data harvesting of member photos, profile information, business descriptions, contact details, or other directory content without the explicit written consent of the member is strictly prohibited.

Member information may not be used for advertising, solicitation, promotional materials, or any commercial purpose outside of direct professional communication.

FAB is not responsible for third-party misuse of publicly displayed information but reserves the right to remove access, edit listings, suspend membership, or pursue appropriate action in cases of unauthorized use.

Membership Directory & Content Use Protection

Directory content is intended strictly for networking purposes.

The use, reproduction, downloading, screenshotting, copying, distribution, modification, scraping, or data harvesting of member photos, profile information, business descriptions, contact details, or other directory content without the explicit written consent of the member is strictly prohibited.

Member images and information may not be used for advertising, solicitation, promotional materials, commercial purposes, or external marketing without prior written approval from the individual member.

FAB is not responsible for third-party misuse of publicly displayed information but reserves the right to suspend membership or pursue appropriate action in cases of unauthorized use.

Intellectual Property & Logo Use Policy

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, branding, event materials, digital downloads, and member materials created by the organization, is the property of FEM ALLIES IN BUSINESS (FAB) and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Use of our name, logo, branding, or any affiliated materials requires prior written approval. Unauthorized use, reproduction, alteration, distribution, or representation of our brand is strictly prohibited.

Approved usage must not modify, distort, recolor, or otherwise alter the logo or branding elements in any way. We reserve the right to revoke written permission at any time.

Code of Conduct

We are committed to fostering a professional, respectful, and supportive community.

By participating in our organization, events, or online platforms, members agree to:

  • Conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism

  • Treat all members, sponsors, and guests with respect

  • Engage in honest, ethical business practices

  • Support a collaborative and inclusive environment

  • Refrain from disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership, remove directory listings, or deny event participation for conduct that violates these standards or is inconsistent with the mission and values of the organization.

Anti-Harassment & Non-Disparagement Policy

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, discrimination, unwanted advances, threats, or any behavior that creates a hostile environment during events, meetings, or online interactions.

Members agree not to engage in defamation, slander, or public disparagement of the organization, its leadership, board members, sponsors, or fellow members.

Concerns or disputes should be addressed privately through the appropriate organizational channels. We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including removal from membership, for violations of this policy.

Event Participation & Assumption of Risk

Participation in FAB events, whether in-person or virtual, is voluntary.
 

Attendees assume full responsibility for their own safety and personal property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FAB, its founders, board members, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, or incident arising from participation in events.

Media Release

By attending FAB events or participating in activities, individuals acknowledge that photographs or video recordings may be taken.

Attendance constitutes consent to the use of such media for promotional, marketing, educational, or organizational purposes, including use on websites and social media.

Individuals who do not wish to be photographed must notify FAB in writing prior to the event.

Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy

Membership dues and event fees are due at the time of registration unless otherwise stated.

Membership dues are non-refundable unless expressly approved in writing.

Event registration fees are non-refundable unless FAB cancels the event. In the event of cancellation by FAB, participants may receive a refund or credit at the organization’s discretion.

FAB reserves the right to modify event programming, dates, or pricing as necessary.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FAB and its founders, board members, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:

• Participation in events
• Use of the website or member directory
• Interactions between members
• Business relationships formed through the organization

FAB makes no guarantees regarding referrals, revenue, partnerships, or professional success.

Indemnification

By participating in the organization, attending events, or using our website, members agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the organization, its founders, board members, officers, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses, or legal fees arising out of:

  • Their conduct

  • Their business activities

  • Their use of the member directory

  • Any breach of these policies

This includes claims brought by third parties resulting from interactions or business relationships formed through the organization.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Board Authority

FAB is governed by its Board of Directors.

The Board retains final authority regarding membership approval, suspension, termination, disciplinary action, and enforcement of these Terms & Conditions.

Board decisions made in accordance with governing documents are final.

Governing Law & Venue

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the appropriate courts located within Washington State.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Electronic Agreement

By submitting a membership application, registering for events, making payments, or selecting an agreement checkbox on the website, individuals acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
